Galatoire’s 33 Bar & Steak announces its summer 2015 wine dinner series taking place at Galatoire’s 33 Bar & Steak. The wine dinner series features the wines of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, E. Guigal, Plumpjack, Cade, Odette and Banville Wine Merchants beginning Wednesday, July 29 and continuing monthly through September.
The first installment of the Galatoire’s 33 Bar & Steak wine dinner series will feature the wines of Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars on Wednesday, July 29. Originating in Napa Valley, California, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars produces some of the most highly regarded and collected wines throughout the world.
From the vineyards of the Northern Rhône wine region in France, Galatoire’s 33 Bar & Steak’s second wine dinner will feature the wines of E. Guigal on Wednesday, August 26. Crafted with a profound respect for the environment, E. Guigal grapes are cultivated to fully reveal the complexity of the land in which they are grown.
The third installment of the wine series will take place on Friday, September 18. As a premium wine dinner, this installment will include wines from Napa Valley’s Plumpjack Winery, Cade Winery and Odette Estate.
Wednesday, September 30, will conclude the Galatoire’s 33 Bar & Steak wine dinner series with a dinner featuring Tolaini Wines. Located in Tuscany, Italy, Tolaini Winery incorporates both old and new winemaking techniques to produce wine of great character.
Each Galatoire’s 33 Bar & Steak wine dinner will begin at 7 p.m. and feature creations by Executive Chef Michael Sichel alongside other Galatoire’s classics that will complement the featured wines, selected by Sommelier Gabrielle Waxman. All tickets are $125 per guest, inclusive of tax and gratuity, excluding the premium wine dinner on September 18, which will be $225 per guest. Named number five in the Thrillist list of Best Steakhouses in New Orleans, Galatoire’s “33” Bar & Steak is located at 215 Bourbon St., adjacent to the grand dame Galatoire’s restaurant. Bar “33” is open from 11 a.m. – close, Tuesday through Sunday, and 5 p.m. – close on Monday. The dining room is open Sunday – Thursday from 5 – 10 p.m., and 5 – 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
